Hello and welcome to the new Apple iPad. No, not the iPad 3. And no again to the iPad HD. Apparently Apple wanted to puzzle us all by naming the next-generation tablet just the new iPad. Hmm. Well, that won’t be confusing at all.
As previously rumored the new iPad will mirror previous Apple tablet’s price points: WiFi-only: $499 for 16GB , $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB, and WiFi plus 4G: $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB, and $829 for 64GB. Got yours all picked out?! For colors, pick out black or white, no pink or green we’re sad to report. Maybe there will one day be an iPad Color but we guess that’s what fun cases are for.
Pre-orders for the new tablet have already begun and will start shipping March 16 in the States, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and we can’t forget Australia.
The iPad will be rolling out to 30 more countries starting March 23. Welcome to the new iPad. It’s gonna be a fun ride.
